Some of the businessmen associated with Millionaires’ Row were presidents, directors and managers of leading Canadian financial institutions. Their access to capital played an important role in turning an ambitious vision for Summerland’s orchards into reality. A reminder of that era can still be found in Summerland today, where the community’s historic bank building from the early 1900s remains on Main Street.
